Hello and welcome to the pages of our Marsden Park Shotokan Karate Club

Our club  was established in October 2021 firstly in Riverstone and then migrated in 2022 in Marsden Park located in North-Western Sydney. It is a traditional Shotokan karate club. We train in the newly built Marsden Park neighbourhood centre and enjoy the convenience of this beautiful new venue

We continue the tradition of the legendary Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa and teach his inspired and comprehensive syllabus from first principles.

We follow the syllabus of Shotokan Karate International Federation, now headed by Kancho Nobuaki Kanazawa.  Current Chief Instructor of SKIF is Shuseki Shihan Manabu Murakami, 8th Dan

The syllabus is progressive and consists of Kihon (basics), Kata(patterns) and Kumite (sparring).  Self Defence aimed at helping students recognize and deal with tricky situations is also covered.

The study of karate has numerous benefits in terms of physical and mental well-being, and it is a journey often enjoyed by several members of the same family. We take our Karate seriously and hard.

Classes are held every Monday 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Wednesday 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Thursday 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

Our dojo is located in the    Marsden Park Neighbourhood Centre There is a convenient parking place available within the Neighbourhood centre
